my resume

My name is Siri Wolland and I am a Norwegian photographer. I had my photography education at Fotoskolan in Stockholm (Sweden) in the early 1980’s. Then I moved to Paris and worked there for three years with fashion, film and TV. I also worked for French TV, Antenne 2, TF1 and FR3, before moving to London and continued my education in film and television at Croydon College of Fine Art. I have varied and quite long photography experience in documentary, film, fashion and advertising, and in adition, art and culture inspired photography. I’ve had many photo exhibitions. My first photo exhibition was at the Norwegian Theater in 1986.

“Caraïbes rencontre Nordique Noire et vice versa”, A separate Art photography exhibition in the Gallery of Un Oeuf, Forte-de-France, Martinique. 2022.

“The Health of Mother and Child – An exciting journey in Africa and Asia”, together with Prof Dr Med. Babill Stray-Pedersen in the fall of 2014 at the National Hospital in Oslo. Photographs from projects in Nepal, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

I have a degree from Nydalen Art School’s 4-year course in painting, and one year at DTK art school in Bærum/Oslo. In 2015, I obtained my Masters degree in History of Art at the University of Oslo.

Sound and use of voice in media productions is another of my interests. I make podcasts.

I have many published articles and photographs in the press and Art Magazines.

My latest art project is called Art Fusion. I see motivs and photography in a Nordic Noir perspective. What happens when Caribbean motivs are formed in black and white photography? I believe everybody can recognize the melancholy.
